Hello Benltey, how can I get the full report for velocity & acceleration in waves?
Answer:
It is possible that sometimes you need to know the acceleration and velocity at the top of the wave crest, due to with this data you can get the wave impact forces at the lower part of beams during the storm wave conditions. setting the option correct in the WAVE card you can get these values, next, you can see the exact field that you have to active to get the acceleration and velocities for WAVES.
Activating the different options in "Wave Print Options" you could get the nest result
- Print option ‘OS’ - This option report the overturning moment and base shear for each wave crest step
- Print option ‘FM’ - This option report the Summation of forces about the mudline for each crest step
- Print option ‘VA’ - This option report the Wave-particle velocity and acceleration at output grid points
"If the user requests grid velocity and acceleration data to be printed, this data will be printed on a straight-line grid defined by 19 equally spaced horizontal locations and the 20 vertical locations defined above at the wave crest.
