How does SACS calculate the flange shear area of an I section?
SACS manual says the shear stress in conventional Y-Y direction is given by
This implies the Y-Y shear area is calculated as 4/3*one flange area.
In case of unsymmetrical PG, with unequal flanges, SACS will consider the smaller flange area to determine the Y-Y shear stress
