Description:

Bentley AutoPIPE is a stand-alone, engineering application for the calculation of piping stresses, fatigue stresses, fluid transient, bowing or thermal transient analysis, flange or pipe support design, and equipment nozzle loading analysis under static and dynamic loading conditions. In addition to 30+ piping codes, AutoPIPE incorporates ASME, JSME, British Standard, European, API, NEMA, ANSI, ASCE, AISC, UBC, GOST and WRC guidelines and design limits to provide a comprehensive analysis of the entire system.

Subscription Entitlement Service:
This product version utilizes Subscription Entitlement Service, which is not supported by SELECT activation key(s). Subscription Entitlement Service features new behavior to enhance your organization's user administration and security with mandatory user sign-in via CONNECTION Client to access the application. If you are already signed in to the CONNECTION Client, you have met this prerequisite. If you have not, please refer to the Administrator's Resource Center and/or contact your administrator for assistance in the registration and sign-in process.

      What is New & Changed in AutoPIPE

      The following outline identifies new features and enhancements
      • Piping Codes
        • Added support for ASME B31E 2008 (with 2010 addenda) - Seismic Design of Piping Systems. New stress categories required by ASME B31E are now added to the program for ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4 and B31.8 piping codes.
        • Added ASME B31.4 2019 - Liquid Transportation Pipelines. This edition of B31.4 piping code now allows the use of ASME B31J stress intensification and flexibility factors.
        • Added ASME B31.4 2019 Chapter IX Offshore Liquid Pipeline Systems. There are no major changes in this edition of the piping code.
        • Added ASME B31.8 2018 - Gas Transmission Pipelines. This edition of B31.8 piping code introduces thick-walled hoop stress calculation formula when D/t is less than 30.
        • Added ASME B31.8 2018 Chapter VIII Offshore Gas Transmission. There are no major changes in this edition of the piping code.
        • Added ASME B31.8 2020 - Gas Transmission Pipelines. This edition of B31.8 piping code now allows the use of ASME B31J stress intensification and flexibility factors.
        • Added ASME B31.8 2020 Chapter VIII Offshore Gas Transmission. The combined stress calculation equation has been updated in this edition.
        • Added EN-13480-3 2017 + A4 2021 - Metallic Industrial Piping. Most of the stress equations have been revised and now explicitly mentions axial stress terms, use of SIF, and nominal vs corroded thickness usage. The material library is updated with the latest available properties from referenced standards.
        • Added CSA Z662 2019 - Metallic Industrial Piping. There are no major changes in this edition of the piping code.
        • Added CSA Z662 2019 Chapter 11 - Offshore Steel Pipelines. A Result Model Option is now provided to select between using Thick-walled formula vs standard hoop stress formula.
      • Modeling
        • A feature to assist in the automatic soil discretization is now available. Program automatically inserts new points where soil transitions from one zone to another.
        • Searchable node annotations can now be inserted on all of the visible piping geometry points.
      • Reports
        • A new Flexible Joint report has been added that reports Axial/Lateral displacements and Torsional/Bending rotations of flexible joint for each non-code combination.
        • Load Summary and Analysis Summary reports are now available for Microsoft Word reports.
      • General
        • Updated program naming convention to align with Bentley's version naming and version support policy.
        • Tag field has been added for Flexible Joints.
        • Program now reverts to the last used folder on File Open.
        • Incorporated ASME B31J general note 7. The program now provides warning to the user when the criteria for General Note 7 are not met.
        • Model archive file now stores Stress Isometric setting files in the generated Archive if requested.
        • Certified AutoPIPE for Windows 11 x64 operating system.
        • AutoPIPE Nozzle is removed from the setup.
      • Interoperability
        • AutoPIPE is now integrated with iTwin Synchronizer for Structure and Piping interoperability with other products like STAAD and SACS, including change management through iTwin Analytical Synchronizer.
        • AutoPIPE now supports import of Caesar II version 12 neutral file.
      • Translators
        • ME101 to AutoPIPE translator is now available in AutoPIPE.
      • Libraries
        • Kinetics Noise Control spring hangers library is now available for hanger selection.
        • Structural steel section libraries are now updated to the latest available. The file format for sections library is now SQLite.
      • Security Release Notes
        • Updated Power Platform to version 10.17.2 that fixes security vulnerability CVE-2018-9466.
