PULS: Damping

I have question about Bentley Puls. We are doing some dynamic pressure measurements in the centrifugal compressor pipework. From the measurements, we got lower dynamic pressure at the downstream pipework which is about 500 metres from the compressor discharge. I think it is expected since the attenuation could be caused by damping in the pipework.

I tried to model this in Bentley Puls by applying pressure source at the compressor discharge outlet and produce the results at the measurements locations. However the results are not as expected. It looks like at frequency of interest, the results downstream not much different than the one at the compressor discharge. It seems like there is no dissipation as the pressure pulse travels down the pipework..

My question is whether the program accounts for damping or not?
