Analysis of Hillside Nozzles

Question

Hello, 
 I am using AutoPIPE Nozzle to confirm a few nozzle configurations in preliminary design. A question has been raised regarding the formulation of the relationships used to calculate hillside nozzles. 
 I&rsquo;ve reviewed the WRC 107/297 guides and they are mute on hillside nozzles (actually they state that they don&rsquo;t cover their design). How does AutoPIPE nozzle determine the analysis of hillside nozzles?

Hi Kirill, 
 
You are correct that WRC does not cover hillside offsets. AutoPIPE Nozzle implements the approach described in PD5500 for this type of nozzle attachment.
