I am struggling to import node displacements from STAAD to Autopipe using PIPELINK.
There is no problem exporting piping model to STAAD and also exporting back the structure from STAAD to Autopipe (including loads, generated nodes, etc), but I am not able to find the way to import displacements, there is no data under the label "imposed displacements" in Autopipe even with the structure fully analysed in STAAD.
Any idea or advice?
Importing Support Displacements from STAAD to AutoPIPE only works when the piping loads are imported from AutoPIPE to STAAD as 'Primary' Loads.
Please see the Pipelink - Import STAAD Structure displacements into AutoPIPE section of the following WIKI. You'll notice that only the E1 and E2 load cases were imported into STAAD from AutoPIPE as Primary Loads. So when the model is sent back to AutoPIPE from STAAD and the support displacements are imported, they only import for the E1 and E2 load cases. Also review the Limitation to STAAD Import section.
