Insulation thickness

In previous versions of AP (AutoPIPE), there was a button to toggle between insulation visibility. It would show the insulation as a transparent layer circumferential around the pipe. In the newest versions of AP (11 and upwards, ever since we got the ribbon), I havent been able to find that option. Is it still there?

  • Hello HVN,

The new version of AutoPIPE enabled the user to customize AutoPIPE's toolbars and ribbons as they prefer to work. When looking for any Command in AutoPIPE use have 2 options:

    1. Use the Binaculars icon

    OR

    2. Use AutoPIPE's help utility.

    Using the the binoculars:

    1. With a model opened, select the binoculars icon and type in "insulation" or other words that are apart of an AutoPIPE command. As the words are being typed, the listing is automatically filtered for available responses. See the following items returned with "Insulation"

    2. See the appropriate line for exact location of the command:

Insulation Thickness (Show > Properties > Pipe Properties > Insulation Thickness)

    Using AutoPIPE Help

    1. Select Help> Contents

    2. When the help information appears select "Search" and type in your search criteria; "Insulation"

    3. Then press "List topics" button to return a list of topics that cover the searched phrase (hint: surround 2 or more words with " " to return exact phrase.).

Using ether of these techniques will clearly indicate where an AutoPIPE command is located with in the program. Users can always create customize toolbars to locate commands as desired.
