Hi,
How to model Turbine Flange with Anchor and support loads and anchor loads are not matching.
already done one model can u plz check and confirm whether that model is correct or not.
please reply immediately.
I have observed in different loads I get from ANCHOR tab and force and moments Tab .do not match with the loads we get from REFERENCE LOADS. Anyone knows the reason why I got this inconsistent results?
Also, After static analysis (B31.1 ) what loads I check (local or Global) in out put report. Both values are different. Before i'm using Caesar II for steam piping. New user of AUTOPIPE any one plz Help us.
force and moment values are coming approx.(1x) value(local) anchor load values are approx.(1.5x) value (Global)
Plz find attached the model.sample model.dat
Hello Sridhar,
I have combined your 2 postings into this one as they are asking the same question, why are the results different?
I will review your model and reply to this posting in the near future.

I have looked in to your model, flange weight and concentrated forces/moments at point 10 are directly applied on the anchor which are making difference in restrain reactions.
For clarification:
Let’s have a look at Thermal {1} restraint reactions in X direction at point 10 i.e. 5451 N whereas Forces/Moment tab reports 1549 N.
We expect restraint reaction to be -1549 N, but we have inserted a concentrated force of 7000 N in X direction at anchor itself which would be added to restraint reaction and results in 5451 N restraint force.
I hope this resolves your concern.
