Do I have to modify the pipe material, specs and creep data base to add a new material? Not making any changes to existing material.

You will need to update the data as needed for the material that you are trying to add.
In some cases you will not need to update the Matl or Creep data as one of the existing callouts may have the data already. In some case even the Spec table will have the exact same data just a different name.
Again, you will need to review and determine if one or more tables need to be updated or reuse exiting settings.
