What is the best way to model flowable fill in Autopipe? I model direct buried piping systems all the time in sandy soil, but I'm looking for some advice as to how to best model flowable fill. The properties of flowable fill can vary greatly, but below is some data I received on a low-density cellular concrete as an example of a flowable fill.
Hello Andrew Moore,
Because soil properties can very so much, we already recommend, and teach in our training classes, that users input soil properties with known range of Max and Min soil property settings provided by a geo-technical engineer that surveyed the installation site. Suggest to not make any assumptions, unless they are very conservative. After adding soil information, analyze multiple analysis sets varying the Non-linear soil property settings to consider a multitude of different scenarios.
