Autopipe - Isogen Configuration, Borders and Seeds

Autopipe Connect 12.02.00.14

Windows 10

Can you tell me the best way to configure the pipe stress isometric border? I keep finding multiple directories with the same configuration files, borders and seeds...

For example:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\AutoPIPE CONNECT v12\isoextractor\BORDERS\DGN\
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\AutoPIPE CONNECT v12\isoextractor\BORDERS\DGN\

C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\AutoPIPE CONNECT v12\isoextractor\BORDERS\DGN\NOTABLE\
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\AutoPIPE CONNECT v12\isoextractor\BORDERS\DGN\NOTABLE\

C:\ProgramData\Bentley\AutoPIPE CONNECT v12\isoextractor\projects\project01\stress\Config\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\AutoPIPE CONNECT v12\isoextractor\projects\project01\stress\Config\

  • Good day to you Daniel Salas,

You will need to understand how AutoPIPE supports user profiles. See the following Wiki here. As mentioned on the WIKI:

One should never move, copy, overwrite, etc.. to the main AutoPIPE installation folder without expressed direction from Bentley. Users should only modify / backup files in the User Profile or Program Directory paths.

With that said, suggest that your refer to the Stress isometric WIKI here. Select " Item #2: Customization", under the "Drawing Border" section, choose any of the topics. Here you will find detailed instructions on how to modify a stress isometric border.

Again, suggest that you only make modifications to the Profile Preference folder locations.

    C:\ProgramData\Bentley\AutoPIPE CONNECT v12\isoextractor

    \BORDERS\DGN\

    \BORDERS\DWG\

    \BORDERS\NOTABLE\

    \projects\project01\stress\Config\

After making any customization, backup the file to a separate directory for save keeping. This way, whenever the program is installed / reinstalled it will only take a few moments to copy your customized files to the Profile Preference locations to ensure company standards are upheld.

Note: if you intend to create isometrics without tables then you will need to update drawing files in the Notable directory too. Otherwise, just make modifications to drawing files in the DGN or DWG folders as needed.
