Hi All,when I import the Autodesk Plant3D PCF file into the Autopipe, the bends are not converted and only shows a straight line.how can I fix that?
Good day to you Adam,
Make sure that that bends are being correctly exported from your model to the PCF file.
Open the PCF file in any word editor. Search for "Bend". Here is a typical PCF file Bend card:
BEND END-POINT 44.004 0.000 0.000 8.000 END-POINT 56.004 0.000 12.000 8.000 CENTRE-POINT 56.004 0.000 0.000 SKEY PB
The End point and Center-point provides the Z, X,Y coordinates and Pipe diameter. If the bend radius is not explicitly provided (not shown above), then AutoPIPE will calculate the bend radius based on the coordinates provided.
Recommend that you work with technical support of the application creating the PCF file to be sure that bends are being correctly written to the file.
Only other thing is to check your Map file in your PCF translator User Profile Path (C:\Users\ [username] \AppData\Roaming\Bentley\PCF Translator) to be sure that bends are not being mapped to a pipe Run or other type of component. You may consider backing up this folder and resetting your User Profile Path. This may just fix the issue.
