I've prepared a new material's library and want to use it in analyses where Piping Code is set to "General" option.
I've also modified a PCFinUI.xml file to make accessible new library in PCF Translator and It works pretty good. After translation in NTL models materials (steels) from my material's library are adopted.
After successful opening of NTL file, when I want to change "Piping Code" to "General" and "Material" to my material's library, AutoPIPE stops and can be only closed. How to configure a program to resolve above described problem ?
Good day to you dudiw,
Be warned that making modifications to the material files must be 100% accurate, any mistakes, added spaces, mis-aligned data, etc. can render the file useless. Also, be sure that you have added the newly compiled material library to the correct Profile folder as indicated in the instructions or here.
Only when things are 100% correct will it work. Therefore your issue maybe related to an issue inside of the material file, or related to the file location. At this time, I would guess the issue is inside of the material file.
Perform the following test. what ever material library you had used as a bases for your new file (ex b31314.SRC). Create a new model for that specific code and year (Pipe code = B31.3, Edition = 2014), then select your new material file. Does the application crash?
If yes, then the issue is in the material file.
If no, then confirm settings when using General stress code.
