Found the Wiki below on how to calculate the fillet radius in AutoPIPE Vessel. Is this also applicable to Piping SIF tool in AutoPIPE Nozzle?
https://communities.bentley.com/products/pipe_stress_analysis/w/pipe_stress_analysis__wiki/20046/10-how-is-the-nozzle-fillet-radius-calculated-for-wrc-calculations-in-autopipe-vessel
Also, please let me know if my understanding is correct:
1. Fillet radius of mitre fillet weld should be zero.
2. Fillet radius more than zero is considered as concaved fillet weld.
Greetings,
No, this is not applicable to AutoPIPE Nozzle. AutoPIPE Nozzle does not calculate a fillet radius. In AutoPIPE Nozzle the user is asked to enter a value of fillet radius e.g. 0.5” between the nozzle and vessel. The program will automatically calculate new stress concentration factors Kn (tensile) & Kb (bending) in accordance with WRC107 Appendix B. These factors on the code options dialog are only used for the Piping SIF calculation. If this box is 0 or blank then the Default values Kb=1 and Kn=1 are used. Note: Default stress concentration factors Kn (tensile) =1 & Kb (bending) = 1 may not be conservative in calculating piping SIF's. The stress concentration factors Kn (tensile) & Kb (bending) on the Factors Tab are applied to all stress combinations.

Hi Mike,
Yes, I need to manually input the fillet radius but can I use the same formula stated in Wiki in calculating the fillet radius? I only have the throat dimension.
Thanks,
Albert
