Hello ,
I am trying to create a pcf file from Revit. The process flow is explained below.
1) The piping is Revit generic piping (not fabrication).
2) Created a RIF file using the RME to FAB Add-in in Revit.
3) Imported this RIF file in CADMEP using processrun command.
4) Once the pipes are imported , i used PCFEXPORT command to create a pcf file.
5) The problem starts here. The PCF file created is having everything defined as " Misc_components".
6) Autopipe import pcf tool crashes as it not able to detect any "pipes" in the pcf file.
7) if we manually edit the MISC-COMPONENTS to PIPE the pcf file is successfully imported but the bends are not coming correctly.
Anyone faced this issue ?
pipe6.PCF
Hi Ditto,
I can say from point 5 that, the above procedure is not able to create intelligent PCF (Piping Component File) as you are getting " Misc_components" for pipe and hence not able to import into AutoPIPE.
Please go through this below from my colleague Mike. This will help you for proper Revit to AutoPIPE PCF transfer.
Hope this will help you.
Thanks & Regards,
Manoj Kale
