AutoCAD Exporting Tips for Developing Autopipe Model

What is the best method for utilizing autocad models to build your autopipe model? From what I can tell, the best you can do is import the node coordinates. Is there a simple way to also export the runs from autocad and import them into autopipe?

  • I have watched the Bentley forum recommended video for importing coordinates; however, it assumes you know the start and end point coordinates. Is there a way to just import node coordinates without having to specify them as runs?

Autocad can only export an x,y,z list. If there is no way to do the above step, then the next best option might be to also export the segment identifiers and use that to manually identify the end points for the autopipe import.
