Hi,
We are investigating the integration between AutoPIPE and STAAD (Bentley AutoPIPE CONNECT Standard Edition - Version 12.08.00.063 and STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition - Version 22.01.00.39). We want to understand if we can analysis the structure and pipework together.
We are aware of the SQLite Pipelink workflow, but at the moment we are transferring loads by hand for verification. The following is what we tested:
We think the results between the two software should match, however they only match for the gravity load case, not the thermal load case. We would like to understand what the reason for the discrepancy could be.
We have also tried with a more complex model with more load cases, including wind load and a response spectrum analysis. The discrepancy in results from that model is even bigger, so we think we have missed something. Your help will be much appreciated.
Best Regards,
Aslinn

Greetings,
This is too much to discuss in a forum posting.

I will investigate this issue once I have received the files.
If after our investigation, I will try to update this posting with summary of findings.

Hi Mike, so sorry for the late reply...it took me this long to figure out the correct modeling approach and I have successfully got consistant results from Autopipe and STAAD. I have a follow up question: Is it possible to transfer the non-code combinations from Autopipe to STAAD? By default it only transfers the primary load cases
