Hi, is it possible to transfer the non-code combinations from Autopipe to STAAD when using the PipeLINK workflow? By default it only transfers the primary load cases.
I found an old post here: Mike Dattilio's Activities (rssing.com) saying 'AutoPIPE combinations are not exported to STAAD, because Structural load combinations are different to Piping load combinations including different factors applied to different types of loads so only the load cases are transferred.' I wonder if there is still the case and if any development has been made since then to offer the option to transfer the load combinations.
Thank you!
Aslinn
Greetings,
At this time, there has been no changes in the model transferred from AutoPIPE to STAAD or STAAD to AutoPIPE. Only the support loads are transferred and not the combinations.
Please note as mentioned in the WIKI you had mentioned, STAAD's Structural codes and AutoPIPE Piping codes may have combination requirements that are not aligned with one another. However the results or a particular load case, Gr, T1, P1, E1, W1, etc... , are all transferred and combinations will be automatically created based on the selected code requirements.
