material properties on .NTL PIPE card

If creating an .NTL file, when material from the library is specified, do the material dependent properties on the PIPE card need to be input, or can those fields be left blank?  Specifically, the MOD, SHMOD, POIS, HOOP, PDEN, YS, SC, and ULTIM fields.  Also, is this dependent on the .NTL VERNO?

  • Greetings,

Suggest that you perform the following test to answer this question:

    1. open Walkthru.apc file example model

    2. Use files Save as NTL, specify file name and location.

    3. Open the NTL file and find the pipe card, there is only one, starting on Line 15.

    4. Delete all of the information after Lne 3, column 20, Material callout. to the end of the pipe card on line 21.

    5. Save the file

    6. Open the New NTL file that was created in AutoPIPE

    7. Review the Material ID to see what information if any is missing.

Conclusion, AutoPIPE will automatically use default information or truncate imported NTL information that is insufficient or does not fit the format required.
