Valve type

Hello Morgan,

Behind the graphics a valve is really just a rigid pipe that has additional attributes (so to speak). If you open the valve dialog screen, you can see all the fields of data required by a valve component. The most import aspects of a valve "TYPE" and "Pressure rating" is for a look up in the valve library to retrieve predetermine data: Length, Weight,  Surface Area Factor, and Joint end Type. The Valve type has no other functionality in the calculations. for your scenario specify a valve Type = NS and adjust the rest of the valve dialog as required.

Hello Efraim, 

Instead of rigid pipe attribute information:

1. include weight
2. Include Thermal expansion

There would be valve attribute information:

1. Tag No. 
2. Manufacture
3. Standard
4. Type
5. etc..
