AutoPIPE Vessel Critical Defect - ASME 2019 Sec VIII Div. 2 (Div.1 App. 46) Incorrect External Pressure Calculations and Allowable Compressive Stress

A critical defect has been detected in AutoPIPE Vessel CONNECT Edition v41 Update 4 (Version 41.04.00.013) and AutoPIPE Vessel CONNECT Edition v41 Update 5 (Version 41.05.00.008) for the ASME 2019 Sec VIII Div. 2 (Div.1 App. 46) code related to external pressure calculations and allowable compressive stress.

The defect relates to incorrect calculations of the predicted inelastic buckling stress Fic which consequently leads to non-conservative results of external pressure calculations and allowable compressive stress.

A new build of the software will be released soon, where this problem will be fixed.

Please note that this defect relates ONLY to the 2019 edition of ASME. Previous code versions of ASME are NOT affected.
