Autopipe Vessel Tank

Dear All,

I'm having troubles when trying to model the Storage tank in Autopipe Vessel Model. Please help this following questions:

1. My tank height has 27m and width 18m, Autopipe vessel has maximum high option only up to 25m, please correct if i'm wrong.

2. How to model the roof manhole/nozzles?

3. How to assign the rafter/column/girders structural shape in roof design?

Thanks,

Parents
    1. Yes AutoPIPE Vessel can model a tank that is 27 meters (27,000 mm) tall. I am not aware of the design limitation you specify.
    2. You are able to model a man hole in the tank roof.
    3. There is some improvements needed in order to specify structural shapes in AutoPIPE Vessel. But I have found the procedure below the best to specify shapes for your supported roof once you have specified all the materials for your roof shapes:

Double click the Number of Sides cell and input the for example 8 and click on the Quantity cell in the Rafter Group area. This should automatically update the quantity of the rafters for both A and B groups.

Select a structural shape from the shape selection drop down list
Select the size for that shape from the shape size drop down list.
Double click the Tag No. cell for the Girder Group and click on the Apply button in the Select and Apply area.

Do the same for rest of your girders, rafters, and columns.

I would suggest you go through the tank and pressure vessel training that is available on demand at learn.bentley.com.
