As per my project requirement, No credit shall be given to thickness of integrally-bonded or weld metal overlay cladding in calculating material thickness, required to sustain all primary loads.
My clear I.D is 2750 mm, cladding, which is not to be considered in pressure calculation in 3.2 mm, according I.D to be used in thickness calculation is 2756.4 mm. I entered in this ways, but software calculation is considering n this way and adding cladding thickness in formula, thus required thickness and O.D accordingly. Kindly elaborate is there any option that we do not consider cladding in material thickness calculation?
Input the clad thickness in the Component Data Dialog (see screenshot), it will be considered as a corrosion allowance (not considered in thickness calculation).
Basically issue is when I enter 3.2 mm here, software is adding its thickness in the I.D and increasing the O.D accordingly. My understanding is that it should not do that, because I.D(2756.4 mm, which includes cladding thickness) used in in thickness calculation will be more than Clear ID(2750 mm, excluding cladding thickness), subsequently O.D should not include Cladding thickness
Ok, it seems there is an issue, please submit a Service Request and join your model (EMVD file) for investigation.
As a workaround, try to use the external diameter in your model instead of the internal diameter.
