AutoPIPE provides all the three example models for ASME B31.3 appendix S with the program along with several other example models. These models were based on 2006 edition of ASME B31.3 and the results that were provided in ASME B31.3 Appendix S matched closely with the output generated by AutoPIPE. Over the years, there have been many changes in the material library and code calculations. A document with proposed changes to Appendix S for B31.3 (2018) edition was shared with the AutoPIPE team. This document compares the revised results for example 1 provided in the document with the results generated using AutoPIPE B31.3 2016 edition. Any differences are highlighted, and suggestions are provided at the end of the document to make the information provided in the Appendix S can be improved for users of any pipe stress analysis tool.
