Preparing input for code NB class-1 multi-operating temperature range AutoPipe does not allow input temperature less than 700 F. The following is displayed:
---------------------------Warning--------------------------- W727-2: Temperature is outside the range specified by the code for Expansion. May use Supress low temp warning in Pipe-IDs.---------------------------OK ---------------------------
What should be done?
A1. Please review the respective material temperature range in the library files. (Tools> Library>) If the temperature is outside of the range the program will display a warning.
Example:
Temperature = -420 deg F
Material = A312-TP304
Piping code = ASME B31.3 (2014)
1. Create a Library MATL table Scan.
2. Create a Library SPEC table scan
3. Review Library data collection resources.
Please see the following AutoPIPE help section:
Help > Contents> Contents Tab> Reference Information> Libraries> Standard Pipe Materials> B313-14.LIB Standard Materials
4. Review the CODE reference:
3. Review the scan information.
a. Noticed that -420 deg F is with in the MATL table data
b. Noticed that -420 deg F is NOT within the SPEC table data.
c. Notice the material code reference starts at -325 deg F (exactly as shown in AutoPIPE Library)
Therefore the W727-2:warning above is displayed. However, data not with in the table is automatically linearly interpolated and used by the program. Again the user has the option to suppress these warnings at their discretion.
1. Select a different material that has data ranges on both tables that meet or exceed the Temperature setting.
2. Create a custom material library that extends the temperature and respective data ranges.
