As a new feature in AutoPIPE V8i 09.06.xx.xx and higher, fluid density can be changed by temperature conditions including phases e.g. Steam. Now control Fluid Density for both Static and Dynamic load cases
From AutoPIPE's online help:
Fluid Density Factor (Modal Analysis) or (Static Analysis)
Enter the fluid density factor for the modal analysis. The fluid density of the contents is multiplied with this factor. This factor is applied to gravity and seismic static load cases. Valid values range between 0.0 and 100000.0.
Typically used for analysis where the fluid density drastically changes with temperature (ex. oil in a solor colecting system) or when evaluating different types of process scenarios, etc..
Fluid density factor defaults to zero when file is imported.
Answer:
Most imported files do not have a specific value for this setting, as a result the imported file resets it to 0.00. However, if a new model is started the default setting for this field is 1.00. A new enhancement has been logged:
TFS-E123213: Add a consistency check note when fluid density factor for an analysis set is zero.
TFS-E177463: Set Fluid density to default of 1 when creating a new model using NTL Import.
