Problem:
How to transfer geometry and other model data from CAEPIPE or KPipe into AutoPIPE?
Solution:
According to the company who distribute CAEpipe, their technical department mentioned that CAEpipe is capable of producing:
a. Kpipe neutral (*.MBF)
b. PDMS (*.mac file)
c. CADMATIC (.3dd file)
d. PCF (*.PCF).
e. CSV (comma separated values) file that can be opened in a spreadsheet software (e.g., MS-Excel).
The easiest method at this time is to convert the CAEpipe file to PCF file format and then use AutoPIPE's PCF translator to import the file directly into AutoPIPE. The other option is to open CAEPipe's CSV file in Excel, format this into AutoPIPE's Excel Template file and import into AutoPIPE.
