What does the View> Settings> Axis feature do in AutoPIPE?
Start AutoPIPE and open any model. After a model has been opened, select View> Settings> Axis, there are 5 different setting in this section of the dialog screeen: as shown below:
In general see AutoPIPE's online help for details on each of these settings. The information below is in addition to that found in the online help:
If this option is enabled then Global axes are displayed on the screen.
Enter an axes size between 1 and 20 inclusive.
Select the location of the axes symbol from one of the four corners of the screen (Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left and Bottom Right).
If this option is enabled then North Arrow will be displayed in the global axes.
North Arrow is independent of the Global Axes option, means if Global Axes are disabled and North Arrow is enabled the North Arrow will be displayed on the screen.
Angle from horizontal axis in clockwise direction. The reference axis will be X in Y-up coordinate system and Y for Z-up coordinate system. Unit of the angle depends on the model's unit. Enter angle values between -10000 and 10000 inclusive.
1. with AutoPIPE V8i 09.06.00.xx and lower this setting is not saved with the individual model, its value is determined by the last setting used when the last model was closed. Example, last model setting = 270 deg, when the next model is opened the North Arrow setting will be 270 deg.
2. 0 deg is always +X axis, and angle is measured CCW about the vertical axis.
