    OR

The program starts to open the window then crashes.

*** ERROR: Symbol file could not be found. Defaulted to export symbols for C:\Windows\SysWOW64\nvoglv32.DLL -

why and how to avoid it?

    Solution:

There could be any number of reasons why the application did not run and returned the error due to NTDLL.DLL, here are a few known reasons:

    #1. Using Logitech Products

If you are using Logitech products (i.e. mouse and keyboard) perform the following procedure:

    1. Press Cntl+ALT+Del buttons, select  "Start Task Manager" button.

    2. A new dialog screen will appear, select the "Processes" tab.

    3. Search the "Image Name" column for an application called SetPoint.exe

    4. Using the mouse, right click on the "Setpoint.exe" name, and select "Properties" from the listing.

    5.  A new dialog will appear, select the "Details" tab.

    6. What File version number is displayed?

If the version is 4.xx.xx.x, this is the problem, continue to the next step.

If the version is 6.xx.xx.x, this newer version is OK to use. there maybe other issues causing the application to crash. You have the choice to continue with this procedure to see if it does indeed fix your issue or stop here.

    7. Close all the dialog screens.

    8. Open the computer control panel, under "Add/Remove Programs" (Win XP) or "Program and Features" (Win 7), Uninstall the "Logitech SetPoint" application.

    9. Go to the Logitech web page and download the latest driver for your keyboard / mouse.

    10. Install the new drivers and reboot your computer.

    11. Try to start Bentley AutoPIPE now, it should start without crashing now.

     ***WARNINGs***

    1. Do not use the SETPOINT application's update feature as it does not correctly update the software, a full uninstall, download, re-install is needed.

    2. Remove the mouse dongle so that windows didn't reload the drivers

    3. Hard reboot the computer.

#2. Access violation due to privman32.dll or btpload32.dll

Install and run WinDBG application as described by WIKI page here.  After creating the log file as instructed on WIKI page, search for "Error"  one may find something similar to:

*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for C:\Windows\SysWOW64\btpload32.dll

Search the internet for "btpload32.dll", find multiple listings here, most point to an application called Privilege Manager developed by BeyondTrust Corporation. Suggest to either disable it or exclude AutoPIPE from monitoring.

After making these adjustments, try starting AutoPIPE.
