Solution:

There is very little that can be done with a model that has this error message displayed on start-up. The only options are:

Known issue:

#1: During a Copy / Past procedure involving segments with Distributed Weight in AutoPIPE 09.06.00.xx or lower.

#2:  Incorrect pipe properties were set for sequential node points (ex. points AG05 and AG06).

#3: Error only appears after a number of attempts to create a stress iso.

#4: Error is related to corrupted Model database.

Avoidance:

General Solutions

1. Revert back to a previous version of the model DAT file that did not have a problem when being opened by the application.

2. Open the folder location, locate the *.BAK file, copy it to another folder location, change the file extension from BAK to DAT and try to open this new file with AutoPIPE.

3. Start AutoPIPE, create a new model with the same General Model options settings, select File> Insert model> AutoPIPE model (*.dat), Hint: Select the option "Use Actual Coordinates" to paste using real world coordinates. 7 out of 10 times this will rescue the model geometry. However, the model Temperature / Pressure data and other minor changes will need to be re-applied. Inspect the entire model before use in production.

5. Use AutoPIPE File> Save As command to save back to a previous version, and then reopened that older file format in the newer version. This process of saving back to a previous version will fix the model database.

6. See round tripping a model technique here

7. Log a service ticket, attach a ZIP file containing the entire folder contents where the model is stored and see if the CAE development team can repair the model. Be sure to include any and all information that was performed in the model before this issue occurred.

Known Issue #1 affected models:

1. For Known Issue #1: update to AutoPIPE V8i 09.06.01.10 or higher. continue working in the newer version
