02. Additional details regarding the PCF Translator's "Component" tab in AutoPIPE

When importing a PCF file there are additional settings that can be used to successfully convert a PCF file into a NTL file that can then be opened by AutoPIPE. These additional settings can be found on the PCF translator dialog under Tools> Settings.

Here are some added details about these features:

> Tolerance

Tolerance factor to join disconnected elements

Ignore OD<

Ignore Pipe OD that are smaller than setting

> Retain Flange Length
(Removed in v 1.0.0.82 and higher)

Length of the flange which is attached to the component

> Ignore Continuation Components

Ignore components which are continuation to other pipeline

> Remove Overlapping part of Component

> Ignore Overlapping Components

Ignore first component when overlapping components are detected

> Create TEEs at disconnected Branches

Connect branches at the surface of the pipe to the center line of pipe-line. Mainly used for connecting OLETs

> Add Anchors at Free Ends

Anchors are added to all node points that are not connected to another component

Prompt User for Material Mapping

>Use pipe schedule for all fittings e.g., Valves, Strainers, Tees

Use the adjacent pipe schedule for all fittings i.e. Valves, Tees and Instruments. Using this option will ignore schedule specified for fittings and inherit it from the adjacent piping component.

>Import Two Point Supports

Use this option to connect a support between two end points. By default, this option is unchecked and the support is attached to first end point.

>Create RIGID section for flange

Use this to create a rigid pipe equaling the length of the flange component in the PCF file.

>Include thermal expansion for all RIGID

Include thermal expansion for all RIGID sections.

>Create TEEs at Surface Connections (OLET)

Detect connections at surface of the pipe and connect with the centerline to create Tees. Mainly used for connecting OLETs.

>Prompt User for Component Mapping

Prompts the user to map ALL unmapped components found in a PCF file to AutoPIPE component.
