Can I copy in Response Spectrum values into the Response/Force Spectrum Loads dialog?
Yes it can be done.
With the model opened in AutoPIPE and the "Response/Force Spectrum Loads" displayed enter in the following data:
Next is the Spectrum data; entered in as pairs. These pairs contain data corresponding to Frequency/Period and A/G/F/V values.
Open an MS Excel spread sheet that contains 2 columns with the data in the correct units.
Select the 2 columns and all the rows containing the data pairs, right click the mouse button, choose Copy command from the listing
Back inside of AutoPIPE place the mouse pointer in the first "Data Type" cell, Right click the mouse button again and select PASTE, shown below:
Presto, all the data should now have been pasted into the dialog, shown below:
Note: Perform random spot checks to be sure all the data was correctly copied into the dialog.
