Problem:

How to get stresses results for gravity only in AutoPIPE's Preliminary Stress Report?

Solution:

Stress results are only produced for code combinations. Depending on your piping code selected in the model, the answer to this question can be slightly different. For Nuclear codes NB, NC and ND:

Sustain stress is calculated by Eq. #9 for NB code, and Eq. #8 for both NC & ND codes. In all 3 codes, reviewing the equations, the pressure term is dependent upon the internal Design Pressure. To remove the pressure term from the calculation, set the Design Pressure for the entire model = 0.00.
