    Problem:

Design vs Design Check in AutoPIPE Vessel?

    Solution:

The Vessel Properties dialog box in AutoPIPE Vessel has the Design and D. Check options.

The Design option which is set as default is one where the software performs the complete design and optimizes every pressure retaining component based on basic user inputs like length, diameter and design conditions. At the end of the calculations the software alerts the user with errors and warnings for necessary action.

The D. Check option is used to check an existing design, in which the software does not optimize the design but performs only code checks and calculations to ensure the design meets code requirements and alerts the user regarding any deficiency with error messages and warnings
