PCF Translator closes abruptly when importing a model into AutoPIPE, how to fix it?
There are a number of reasons why the application might close abruptly, some may be caused by a trivial issue while other are far more complicated reasons.
Typically these issues can be resolved by enabling disabling different features on the PCF translator's Tools> Settings > dialog:
It is hard to say what combination of settings will successfully import a specific model. This may be a trial and error situation.
There is no avoidance. Attempted various settings on PCF Translator settings dialog, but program still crashes during PCF import. When all the options are enabled except the following two options: "Remove Overlapping part of Component" and Ignore Overlapping Components are unchecked then program doesn't crash, but model will still not import due to overlapping components.
Only solution is to manually open the file in any text editor application and fix the model for overlapping components.
A new enhancement has been logged. TFS-D213501: Bolts should be handled properly to avoid program crash.
