When comparing the hand calculated hoop stress results with that calculated by AutoPIPE they are different, why?
Y = 0.50, 06.24, or 0.7
First be sure of the calculation used by AutoPIPE is the exact same calculations used by Hand.

Here is the problem, the Tools> Model Options> Y factor setting was found to be 0.40 instead of the 0.624 value used in the hand calculations.
Workaround: Updating this Y - Factor value will yield the correct Hoop stress value in AutoPIPE as calculated by hand.
