    Problem:

My problem is that any changes I make to Temperature input for my two cases T1 and T2 do not seem to result in different answer in the terms of Restrained Loads at my Anchors and the loads on the anchors stays the same regardless of me changing the Temp input.

Why is that and how to fix it?

    Answer:

The clue here is that there are no changes to the model when Temperature values are updated.

In AutoPIPE, there are a few methods (i.e. Input grids, drop down menu command, etc..) user can use in changing the load case temperature for a given pipe run selection. However, more importantly is what happens when the Temperature load case of a pipe run is changed (ex. T1=100 deg f to T1 = 450 deg f)?

Answer, so long as the check boxes for temperature related values are enabled (as shown below in the highlighted yellow area), the program retrieves the temperature related data from the specified library.

As the temperature is changed, the temperature related data with the box enabled are automatically updated, example: see image below where T1 was changed from 100 to 450, this action automatically updated the Expansion from 0.230 to 3.160, and Hot Modulus from 29.34 to 27.5.

However, if the check boxes were disabled, the values would then need to be manually changed as the Temperature is changed,

Note: the values for Expansion and Hot Modulus above are not automatically updated when the temp was change above.

At this point the user has 2 options:

Option #1: Enable the check boxes, so values are updated as needed with the Temperature changes.

Option #2: Manually update all values where the check boxes are disabled.
