The following appears when trying to run an analysis in AutoPIPE,
---------------------------Error--------------------------- E514-2: Unable to retrieve Time History Load and Time History files.---------------------------OK ---------------------------
Why and how to avoid?
The reason for this dialog is becuase a particular file the at is required by the program is missing from the folder where the model is located.
Example:
Create a new folder on the desktop and copy the following AutoPIPE Example model (AP50SR1.DAT) to this folder.
Run the Analysis, the dialog above will appear.
Question, Why?
Answer, the CO2.THL file required for running the Time history analysis is missing, see the following screen shot:
Upon further inspection, find that the C02.THL file is not located in the model's folder. A THL file is automatically created after running the Load> Steam Relief, Fluid Transient Analysis, or manually created by the user.
In this example above the C02.THL file would have been created after running the Steam Relief utility as directed by the "Executing Steam Relief Example (ap50sr1)" document in AutoPIPE help pages. By skipping this step and directly analyzing the model the error dialog above was displayed.
Be sure to check that all the file required to run the analysis are available in the folder. If some files are found to be missing, command AutoPIPE to automatically create them, manually create them, or copy from another project into this folder.
Only after all files are present and properly formatted can the analysis be completed without showing the error screen above.
