What does the following warning mean and how to resolve it?
W2164-104:Yield values are zero for the selected material in the material library
As mentioned, the warning explains that there are material values that are set to Zero (0.00) in the model, and will be used in analysis calculations. If this is not desirable, the values must be manually changed.
Where are the material Yield values are set to 0.00. First start by reviewing the Press/Temp/ PipeID tab on the input grids.
Note that all the values in the Yield column are set to 0.00, are shaded grey, and the Auto check box to the left of the column is enabled. This indicates that the current material from the selected material library does not have any data for temperature range specified. Confirm this by reviewing the Spec material data in the selected Library file, see snip-it below from B314-09 material library:
To manually change the Yield values disable the check-box on a given row and manually enter a value per the column's units as shown below:
There is a known issue, where using AutoPIPE 11.03.xx.xx and lower that the warning message always appears when selecting Piping code = General & SIF = B31.4 trans And also for Piping code B31.4 Liquid Trans. This has been logged (916660) and fixed in AutoPIPE 11.04.xx.xx and higher.
