    Problem:

    After importing a PXF file into AutoPIPE, supports are missing, why?

    There are 7 supports missing from the AutoPIPE file created by importing an OpenPLANT / AutoPLANT PXF file.

    The Import *.MSG report mentions that AutoPIPE CANNOT process support at XYZ location., example:

    *** NODE: 730
    CANNOT PROCESS SUPPORT AT:
    X= 62.668 Y= 141.220 Z= 0.000
    DESCRIPTION: Support Location
    PXF REC NUM. (IN PXF/PXG FILE): 26

    Note: none of these support locations are on elbows, all support locations are on pipe runs.

    Solution:

    Upon further investigation into the PXF file generated by AutoPLANT / OpenPLANT, the following support value was found 2106 = 0. This means that there is no support parent in the model. When importing a PXF file into AutoPIPE, supports parent component id is mandatory. The PXF value should be greater than 0. One would think, oh just manually change it so 2106 = 1, 2, or some other value. However this will not work, because then the coordinates of parent component is not matching the specific support. Changes need to be made back in the AutoPLANT / OpenPLANT model and to recreate a PXF file that does not have 2106 = 0.
