There are various types of end connections on Vessels and Tanks:
How to model piping connected the end of a tank / vessel in AutoPIPE?
The technique is the same regardless of the Vessel's / Tanks's end type head construction. However there are 3 modeling approaches.
1. Consider the Vessel / Tank piping connection a anchor and add a Flexible / Rigid anchor
2. Take credit for the flexibility in the tank construction, insert a Nozzle component
3. Model the entire vessel / tank
See the following procedure and choose one or more techniques to use in your model:
Assume the piping connection to the tank / vessel is considered an anchor component. Insert an Anchor element as needed.
Please see the following AutoPIPE help section: Help > Contents> Contents Tab> Modeling Approaches> Modeling Approaches> Nozzles
Hear are 2 examples of connecting piping to a tank / vessel using a nozzle element.
Please see the following AutoPIPE help section: Help > Contents> Contents Tab> Modeling Approaches> Modeling Approaches> Vessels
Note: in order to connect a pipe at B02, follow the techniques in option #2 above (omitting the anchor of course)
