The following appears in the model consistency check report:
* * * W A R N I N G - MODEL * * * W2164-106:The following pipe ID's are using a depreciated fatigue curve, limited to 1E6 cycles:
P1, 6-STD, 4-STD
How to avoid it and fix it?
Answer:
A model consistency check warning shall be displayed when the following conditions are true:
1. The model is using a Class 1 code
2. The edition is 1972+1972W addenda or later
3. The selected fatigue curve for any pipe ID is ASME III - ADLPipe (Default)
a consistency check warning (see above) shall then be displayed:
Again, pipes using the default ADLPipe fatigue curve are limited to 1E6 cycles, though most accepted fatigue curves today are limited to 1E11 cycles. This limitation is mentioned in the AutoPIPE help (ex.while on the pipe properties dialog, place cursor in Fatigue Curve field and press F1. This help page has detailed info related to this limitation of 1E6).
Notes:
1. The default selection can be changed by selecting other fatigue curves in the drop-down list.
2. This omits any Salt less than 26.2ksi from the fatigue analysis, please note using a newer curve will give different results.
