    03. How to evaluate using the correct allowable for each Nuclear Service Level in AutoPIPE?

    Problem:

We need to qualify piping for Service Level B(NC-3653), C (NC-3654) and D (NC-3655). However results are compared to Service level B only for all service levels. We do not see allowable factors for different service levels. How to evaluate using the correct allowable for each Service Level?

    Solution:

For the Nuclear design codes an extra stage is required to define the load case ranges and assign them to the code equations, this is done in the Stress Summary under Tools menu.

The Code Comb tab in Combinations is purely for information and is in the most part redundant for Nuclear.  No code compliant combinations can be created here and are done in the Stress Summary.   There is an additional tab in the combinations that can be used to overwrite the Automatically determined Allowable Stress for each Service Level.
