    Problem:

    The following message appears in AutoPIPE Vessel, how to avoid it?

    181 Cone 3: should be placed between two shells

    Solution:

    Vessels in AutoPIPE Vessel are designed considering the following requirements:
    • Any conical shell must be modeled with a cylindrical shell before and after this conical shell. These cylindrical shells provide the diameter at the large and small base of the conical shell.
    • Lengths are measured from tangent line to tangent line carried by cylindrical shells. In the case of a Welding Neck welded very close to a conical junction, the cylindrical shell on this junction must be equals to the length of the flat face plus the hub length.
