The following message appears when installing AutoPIPE:
Your user account does not have write access in the Autopipe program folder.....
Then installation stops. Why? and how to avoid?
First be sure that the user logged on when installing has full admin rights.
Installing AutoPIPE CONNECT 10.01.xx.xx:
Perform the following procedure:
1. Can you please check that AutoPIPE program data folder is created for that user?
ex. Folder path for version 10.1.0.8 is “%programdata%\Bentley\AutoPIPE CONNECT”.
2. Does the folder exist, if yes go to step #3.
If NO, this folder doesn’t exist, then most probably it is user rights issue. Again confirm that user currently logged on has admin rights to the computer.
3. If Yes, this folder exists, then create an empty file in a specific location by using the following steps:
a. Open Notepad
b. Select File > Save
i. Folder location (create folder as needed) = “%programdata%\ Bentley\ AutoPIPE CONNECT\
ii. File name = AUTOPIPE.DBG”
c. Click Save.
d. Run AutoPIPE.
4. What happens?
Will the application now open?
If Yes, great continue using the program
If No, go to next step.
5. File a Bentley Service request mentioning this WIKI and include the results of the above efforts
