Problem:

Why does the following message appear when using the program "Bentley.lictransmit for Windows has stopped working" ?

How to resolve it?

Solution:

 In short, the license.db is busted!

Please use the following steps to correct this issue:

1) Open the License Management Tool and open the TOOLS > View license log.

2. Note the directory defined in the status bar across the top of the new dialog box:

(Example C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\Bentley\Licensing\license.db)

2) Close the application.

3) Using Windows Explorer go to that directory.

example: C:\Users\mike.dattilio\AppData\Local\Bentley\Licensing

4) Create a NEW FOLDER named OLD and move all of the files into the OLD directory.

5) Restart the application and open the License Management Tool

6) Highlight the application by name and use the "ACTIVATE" button in the lower right-hand corner
