Does the same message re-appear?
If NO, no further trouble shooting required. finish installing, license, and start using the application.
If YES, go to Step #4.
Step #4: Download Bentley application latest version of: "Connection Client" and Install it.
Reboot the computer and try installing AutoPIPE again. Does the same message from above appear while installing?
a. If YES, problem is not with Bentley application but there is a Microsoft Windows issue with the computer, search internet for solution. one suggestion would be to use Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool to fix these types of issues (see link here)
b. If No, finish installing Connection Client, no further troubleshooting required. Restart installing AutoPIPE, installation should complete without issue.
Note: If same message appears again, send log file to Bentley for review.
Step #1: Close AutoPIPE
Note: may need IT help to install .NET applications below. Also, a known issue to remove the system from a domain. There may be a GPO (Group Policy Object) blocking the system (Windows 10 Enterprise) from pulling down updates from MS. Once removed from the domain, with no gpo’s applied. Should be able to download / install the required .net applications.
Step #2: Download and install .NET versions as mentioned on Release notes here
(ex. AutoPIPE 12.00.00.14 should have .NET 3.5 SP1 and .NET 4.6.1 installed before installing the program)
Step #3: Reboot computer and then try installing AutoPIPE
