why and how to fix it?

    Answer:

Bentley IEG was not installed. See WIKI here for details.

    Install Bentley IEG.

    Scenario #2:

Install on Win 7, when double clicking on application icon nothing happens

    Why? What to do?

    Answer:

PlantFLOW uses the DOS path format while reading/writing configuration files. In current case the path conversion to DOS format failed. Due to this program was unable to locate the PLANTFLO.STR file and is closed intentionally.

    Workaround

All folder names of installation path shall not exceed 8 characters.

Uninstall the application. Then re-install with the following modification.

    a. Select the Browse... button.

    b. Change Path name by removing the W from the end, and press OK button

    c. Finish the installation using default settings.

    d. Start PlantFLOW
