    07. Currently only Only PD 5500:2015 G2 is available, How to change the Design method / Local Loads in AutoPIPE Vessel?

    Applies To
    Product(s): AutoPIPE Vessel

    Problem:

It is not possible to change Design Method / Local Load Method for Bracket support calculation. Only PD 5500:2015 G2 is still predefined and there is no possibility to change the calculation to other codes.

    Solution:

There is an issue in the UI about the Brackets (Support Properties Dialog). Only the last commercial Release is impacted (CE Update 4 - v40.04.00.08). It is not possible to change the Local Load Method for Brackets (logged under Defect 745443).

    Workaround:

The only one workaround is to open the EMVD file with a text editor (e.g. Notepad) and then find and replace these 2 values under <VesselSupport>:

    <CalculationMethod>XX</CalculationMethod>
    <CalculationMethodDate>YYYYMM</CalculationMethodDate>

See the following list of values XX and YYYMM for each method.

This issue will be fixed for the next Update.

Note: When a new model is created, data that need to be manually changed are not written, so tag must be added also.
