Use nom. thk. for Hoop
The input in this field determines which pipe wall thickness value is used in the hoop stress calculations (post processing). If unchecked (the default), AutoPIPE will use the corroded thickness (eroded thickness for HDPE pipes) and mill tolerance (see Code Compliance Calculations for details). If checked, the nominal (actual) wall thickness will be used. This option is only enabled for the B31.1, CC N-755-1 and B31.3 piping codes.
What does post processing mean?
Any action or calculation after analyzing a model that does not require the model to be re-analyzed would be considered post processing. In this example, enabling or disabling this setting is a Post Processing action. Thus, the hoop stress calculation that uses this setting would be a post processing calculation.
